After Impacted Tooth
A tooth can become impacted when there is not enough room for it in the dental arch and growth becomes impossible. After surgery to remove an impacted tooth, it is normal to experience mild discomfort and some swelling. This is part of the healing process and should not scare you. You may use cold compresses to alleviate the swelling and pain medication as directed by your doctor. Patients are also advised to be extra mindful of the extraction area and modify their diet for a few days to allow for healing.
